In this storybook we see our friend Alycat preparing for school . She is very excited because on Thursdays they get dessert with their lunch and Alycat loves dessert, particularly popsicles. Well, Alycat is day dreaming in class and ends up being late for lunch and - you guessed it - all the special popsicles are gone by the time she gets there Don't worry though , our Alycat is resilient and after a little moping everything works out just fine. I think my favorite line in the book is when Alycat's teacher tells her:" Remember - you get what you get and you don't throw a fit". I do believe I will remember this saying and use it somewhere , sometime so don't be surprised if you hear it from me!
