“ Today is only one day in all the days that will ever be . But what will happen in all the other days that ever come can depend on what you do today.” That is a quite from Ernest Hemingway’s book : For Whom the Bell Tolls , which was published in 1940. It is also included on page 20 of today’s recommended book .
In honor of the airing of the new Ken Burns documentary on PBS entitled: Hemingway , today’s recommended book is “Quotations of Ernest Hemingway”.
This little hardcover book is filled with quotes from the literary great . Some are from his famous books , others are from letter to friends and family . Many of these quotes center on his quest to be a great writer which I found particularly interesting . It gives you a glimpse into his thought process . To get more than a glimpse you can’t watch the series or read more works by Hemingway .
