Chatting Books Online Day 293. Some time ago (101 days ago to be exact in Chatting Books Online Day 192 - Heavens, Time really does fly by) I recommended a book titled "The Home Edit" written by Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin of the phenom Netflix show of the same name. I even told you a bit about my current obsession with the show, the book, and then my start into reorganizing my kitchen drawers in their method. Well in the intervening 101 days I have perfectly (if I may say so myself) organized all drawers in my kitchen and bathroom and I have just completed a huge (and beautiful) overhaul of my pantry. Then today's recommended book came along .
Today's recommended book is the second effort from these same authors: " The Home Edit Life". The subtitle of this book is what got me. It is "The no-gult guide to owning what you want and organizing everything" and unlike most of these organize your life books this one states in BOLD letters at the beginning of the book "It is OK to own things", and then they repeat that! I don't know about you but I was quite tired of these books telling me things like I should give away anything I haven't worn or used in a number of months (but apparently I should thank the item first ?!!) , or blasphemy of blasphemies : I should own no more than 30 books (well I can assure you that book would not be among my 30!). Instead this book is a masterclass with very specific instructions on how to organize the things you might like, might need, or might find sentimental. Now that is a bar set at my height !
Here we go with another round of obsession for me - next up the broom closet and the pots and pans cabinets!
This hardcover book (which I also like better than the paperback first book) sells for $28.50 a copy.
To purchase a copy come see us at the shop during business hours or you can call or message me to have a copy shipped to you . Now mask up and let's get organized in the New Year!
