Chatting Books Online Day 282. Today's recommended book is "The Boy Who Lived in Pudding Lane" by Sarah Addington.
This book was originally published in 1922. It is the story of the boy Santa Claus who lived with his parents on Pudding Lane. His father was a baker and they lived between the butcher and the candlestick maker. Since his father was a baker young Claus had quite a sweet tooth and grew to be quite pudgy causing his friends to tease him and say he walked like his Grandmother's gander. And his Grandmother did have quite a gander at that since his Grandmother was none other than Mother Goose. MIss Muffet, Mother Hubbard, Old King Cole , and Jack Spratt along with so many more of our nursery rhyme friends all have parts in the story explaining how Santa learned to make toys and enjoy Egg Nog and Christmas sweets and to have such a giving attitude.
This is one little book that wraps it all up in a big red nursery rhymed, Christmas themed bow. This hardcover book sells for $22.95 a copy.
